The super cool and talented Zeptonn has just released a book of drawings and collaborations! Im proud to be a part of it! Black & White Freedrawings is a unique exploration of collaborative drawing. In the book, over 40 international artists collaborate on a drawing with Zeptonn. These collaborations are called “freedrawings” to highlight the lack of restrictions, themes and guidelines. At the same time these drawings are not a preliminary sketch, but the final artwork. In 132 pages filled with freedrawing collaborations the artists take you on a journey through the process of collaboration, showcasing their personal illustrations and working spaces.

Black & White Freedrawings is 132 pages, 210 x 297 mm (8.3 x 11.7 in), featuring over 160 illustrations and over 100 photos. Its been awhile since ive messed around with sculpy, at least four years. I really did have alot of fun making this and now plan on maybe busting out some other ideas with sculpy in the somewhat near future. Its all hand Scuplted and hand painted. Believe it or not but painting it was alot harder than sculpting it. Its so hard to hold it and paint it at the same time. I wish I had an extra set of hands! I also should probably make a chiropractic appointment…..My back is killing me!

My Designs for Last years Designer’s Block 2007 show were picked and shown in the Brit Insurance: Designs of the year show in the Design Museum in London from - Febuary 13th - April 27… Such an honor, I wish I could have attended. But luckily we live in a day where I can type anything that I want to see in this magic computer box! Yay for technology! Here is a blurb from the Design Museum’s website-

Here’s the all Music Biography-

Not a great deal is known about Revolving Paint Dream, a psychedelic pop band that recorded sporadically for Alan McGee’s Creation label in the ’80s. Initially the band was a duo of Primal Scream’s Andrew Innesand his girlfriend Christine Wanless. The band — which quite possibly counted McGee, Dick Green, and Luke Hayes as members or contributors at various points — released a couple of records before apparently giving it a rest for good; Off to Heaven was issued in 1987, followed by 1989’s Mother Watch Me Burn. The group’s first release, the “Flowers in the Sky” single, was Creation’s second single and one of their early highlights. 

Beep beep! Toot! TOOT! Wake up little charlie…. Well, anyway, ive been quite busy lately. Lots ‘o projects going on big and small which i will post soon when i can. Heres a little ditty for the mean time. Been doing lots of little paintings on paper lately. Its been nice to get an idea out quick and small, not drudging through a large scale piece can be quite satisfying. anyways- the photo of painting is total crap. that washed out background is shiny gold in real life, and there are really bright flouresent colors that just didnt translate. I really need to do some research and find a scanner that scans in flourescent colors. waa! waa! waa! Anyone out there have any recommendations?

While im here I might as well show you a new painting for the BALLS OUT show, at good ‘ol Grass Hut in Portland. Im excited for this one, will be heading up there soon! Really cool and talented beings up there. The Bearded People in the northwest hide magic in their beards!  Show opens March 7th. Will be heading up to Seattle for a week after that which im really looking foward to!…….. Arbito, Snaggs, get Ready, the hairless Hiberts are coming!

Im excited to announce my brand new Web shop! HAGALA SKATEBOARDS!

My friends and I started skateboarding when we were about 11 years old and. Man, we were really hardcore into it too. It was just about all we did. We made skate videos, met alot of people, and made some super awesome memories! I owe ALOT to skateboarding. But as years passed I started taking art more and more seriously, and before I knew it I was barely skating at all. Anyway, here I am, trying to connect myself to skateboarding in a whole new fun way Would love to pick it up again, but im way to paranoid I’ll break my wrist or neck, and that would be a definite no-go for painting and such…

I really plan to keep making new skateboard designs, so keep checking back every now and then!
